Had the Monday off because of labor day, took out a vacation day for it so I didn't lose any money. started Tuesday morning in Columbus Ohio with a load from interstate Cold storage on Roberts road, to Kroger in Forest Park Georgia.
The cold storage was kind of slow getting me a door, so about 4 hours later I was ready to roll.
I didn't make it far that day because of my 14 hour. I started kind of early from Dayton. Made it to a rest area just across the Tennessee - Kentucky state line.
Woke up next morning super early, trying to make it to my 10:00 a.m. appointment in Forest Park. I checked in with the guards about 10:15 a.m. and was done unloaded around 2:00 p.m.
the load I got after was dispatched for next week so I wasted hours waiting for a new load, and I finally got one I had 2 hours left on my 14. I drove to the first truck stop I could find, then got into traffic and into violation later when I rolled into the truck stop which was full.
