I was pretty sure i was gonna make it home by on time until I got this load to Pontoon Beach were I ended up with no options other than going down to St Louis to pick up a load going west. With less than three days to my hometime I decided not to go further than Kansas City.
Shut down at the Knight yard in Kansas City with no news from dispatch, but next morning I requested an update thru the sonar. A few minutes later a relay was approved and a new load on the yard was mine to take, but it was going to Green Bay WI.
Took off and drove up to Green Bay, arrived around 2200 and shut down at the Country Express just of I43.
My appointment could have been allot better, it was at 1600, tried my luck by going over to the customer and asked if i could be unloaded earlier, but no. Waited a few hours, then they could unload me. Took them twenty minutes. That's a record.
My next load was at Americold in Darien WI, appointment at 1800. Impossible to make with a 1600 appointment three hours away. That load got rescheduled so when I got here i was told to wait until the morning. Hometime screwed for sure. Goodbye Mid American Truckshow.
