Another Monday is done, didn't sleep too well last night because of a dog in the neighborhood spending his night out in 16 degrees. Poor pup! Was a lot of barking and woke up me around 2 am. I did however get back to sleep after cursing the owner.
I was dispatched this load on Friday, picking it up at Interstate Warehouse in Hamilton oh. It's a great place to load at and now with the contactless check-in, the whole place feels like a fully automated warehouse.
Took me just over an hour to get loaded and I was ready to go. At 4 pm I was already on my way up on 71 towards Columbus. I pulled in at the Pilot a few miles before the scale to check my weight.
I was 35,000lbs on the front and 30,000 on the tandem. I was able to decrease it down to 34,240 only. Fortunately, the scale is rarely open in the afternoon so no problem there, and with a few hours driving and burning some fuel I'll be legal.
I checked my clock and I had exactly on the minute enough time to make it to the Carlisle company yard. I eventually made it there, I started my break and got a shower. 30 minutes later I was on my way to King of Prussia and with only 1 minute left of my 11 hours of drive time I was parked.
