Woke up this morning, parked at the shoulder on the on-ramp to I78 just by Loves in Hamburg PA. I was done late at Gregory Packaging and was running low on hours. As we all know; not easy to find parking when it gets late.
Drove straight to Gordon Foodservice in Springfield with only one break at the Midway travel plaza on 76. Because of the ongoing roadwork on 70 thru Columbus traffic was really jammed and i got like 7-8 minutes late for my 1700 appointment.
I checked in and was told they were gonna call me when they had a door. At 1900 they called me and I backed into door #49, a couple hours more and I was done and could leave, but not without some os&d. 4 boxes were damaged.
Called it in and was told i had to keep the damaged cargo and the trailer until further notice. In other words the next day. They were unable to provide me with an excemption number at this point. So now I'm back at the yard in Columbus and will be here until tomorrow morning.
