25 Great Wordpress templates
Its a lot of Wordpress themes out there, but finding the right one can still be difficult. I looked for hours until I found something for many of my sites, I even bought some as well then customized them, but if you dont wanna pay, its still a lot of great stuff out there for you. Lets look on some great free Wordpress templates I found..
Darren Hoyt’s Mimbo template is a very nice template with lots of options. Its also using the custom fields to add the pictures to the articles show on the frontpage. I use this on one of my sites. A great free wordpress theme.
Visionary from Justin Tadloc is another good example of a free template. Its a theme for newspaper/magazine sites that looks very profesional and clean. It also got a built-in video feature that makes it easier for you to add videos to your site. He also got a lot of other good templates for free.
iTheme from ndesign-studio is a very nice and clean style with a blue background and mac os look.
Midnight Wonder from MyGreenCorner is a theme with nice color combinations, a great looking header that makes the site really interesting and exciting. All the nice and relaxing colors makes this one of my favorite themes.
Gone Away is another great template from MyGreenCorner. A goodlooking dark template with just the right colors to make a “dark” theme look good.
Fractal Red is a free Wordpress template from FreeWordpressLayouts.com. A template with a nice header and a glowing red colors, very nice combined with the white color.
Advanced Tech, another template from FreeWordpressLayouts, pretty similar to Fractal Red, but with a different header. Also a good combination between yellow and white on a dark background.
Glossy Blue is another nice template in white, blue and green from ndesign-studio.
A World of Warcraft inspired theme from Mogs, perfect for a fan or clan site.
FourWPTP from wpThemesPlugin is a pretty nice 4 column and widget ready theme with nice design
Sparky from wpThemesPlugin is a blue theme with a cool header and a nice stripe background. The sidebar looks very good too.
Cold Spring is a winter based blue template from Blogstheme.com. Nice background and sidebars. Overall a very nice and clean template.
Polaroid is a nice skin, maybe a little boring colors, but with a little touch of your own this has a great potential. I really like the bunch of pictures in the middle where you could put some random photos 
inHeaven is a great template from Webhostinggeeks.com. It also uses my favorite header style and the color combinations are great
Lux from Lorelei, a clean and nice template with a light blue background and dark grey content area with green sidebars, nice color combinations.
O2 2.0 from eches is also a good skin that deserves to be placed in this post. Black background with white content area and a touch of blue. The background makes you focus on the content. A very nice and clean template.
Roadkill from topwptheme. I dont need to say much about this one, clean and nice and I simply love black and green
MinyX from storelicious is a clean and great design with just a little touch of green and black. As you can see its a very clean skin.
Black Minimalism from Cinexl is a minimalistic theme as you can see, still nice with dark background with a nice pattern.
Hyperglass from NodeThirtyThree is just smooth. Its great. I dont need to say much more, the picture speaks for itself
Starry Night from voidix is another nice template in blue and white. Very relaxing and nice color combination on this one.
Porsche Revolution from adivor has to be the cleanest skin in this list. Its very smooth with all that white and a touch of red. Another personal favorite.
A Starcraft inspired theme, great skin for a gaming or fan site. With a little customization this one can be really great. Overall a very good skin
Dance Queen is another one of those skins with a large header space. I still think they can be very good if you need alot of space in the header, maybe on sites where the frontpage doesnt change so often. A very simple skin, but great none the less
Pre Intensions is the last skin for today, a great and typical web 2.0 inspired theme. Great color combinations with dark blue and some fresh colors like green and orange. Very nice
