Autoblogs for blogging networks

A few other sites have started something they call “blogging network” with pretty good success. I would like to try out the same thing, but what kind of autoblogging software should I use ?
Since I’m on Wordpress there are a few I can choose between, but the next question is, paid or free ? I did try two free autobloggers today at this blog and they seemed to work very well both of them.
The first one was the WP-o-Matic which was pretty good. It could upload the pictures to your own server from the source, but it didn’t create the blog author. The 2nd one was the FeedWordpress which did create the author, but didn’t upload the pictures. I’m currently using the FeedWordpress. I liked that one best out of these two free ones.
There are also a few paid autobloggers; WpRobot, Autoblogged, Sitemile. At this point I’m not going to buy any auto-bloggers so the winner this time is FeedWordpress which is free.
Color info made easy

This great tool from ColorSchemer.com is pretty good if you want to find out more about some specific colors on a website or any other place on your computer. Maybe you saw a pretty nice website with some nice colors you want to use too. Just start it up and when you see a color you want to know more about, just hover your mouse on the color and click any key on your keyboard to lock the color. Now you have the values for HEX, RGB, CMYK and HSB as seen in the photo.

Make your ribbons easy

With this cool tool from Quickribbon.com you can make ribbons easy with just a few clicks. It also generate gradient effects on your ribbon. It have 4 different templates to start from.
When finished with your ribbon it creates some javacode so you can insert the ribbon to your site and also make it work as a link. Personally I’m not a fan of inserting this with javascript, but at least you got the picture made up quickly.

recently just found out that Woothemes.com have some pretty good templates for Wordpress. Most of them you need to pay for which is okay, but I also found some really great free ones too.

Enhancing pictures on your site

When having pictures showed as thumbnails on your site its pretty boring and not very goodlooking to make them open in the same window or a new window when you click them for a fullsize. With these three tools you can have them open in the same window without leaving the page

In this post we are going to look for some good topsite scripts. After some research I quickly realized that its not many good topsite scripts out there. A few years back I bought the EvoTopsite scripts, a very good topsite that reminded a little about the monster toplist. The Evotopsite’s seems to be gone now so we will have a look something else.

Firefox 3 beta 3

Firefox 3 is based on the new Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform, which has been under development for the past 30 months and includes nearly 2 million lines of code changes, fixing more than 12,000 issues. The Firefox 3 is still recommended for testing purposes only.

Hosting videos on your site

I was registering at Fliqz.com the other day, a video hosting service. Its actually pretty sweet cause they host your video files up to 300MB and the basic account is free. I signed up and after a short registration process I was ready to host videos on my site. First I went through a few steps to customize my video player with its own startup wallpaper and logo, I could also include a watermark on the movie and a ending screen with logo. The watermark is clickable so you can link it to your site. There are also other plans if you want to pay that gives you even more customization options. Google Pagerank Predictors

I wanted to find out the future pagerank of my site librarium-online.com and did a search on google for “pagerank predictor”. Lots of results came up. I know what my current pagerank for my site is because of the google toolbar. Since google is the creator of the toolbar and the pagerank system I trust this toolbar for showing me the correct information.
Im now gonna list a few of the sites that came up and which did not do a satisfactory job by giving me the information I needed.

Google Earth

Did you know that by downloading Google Earth you also get a free flight simulator that takes full advantage of Google’s extensive satellite imagery.
To access the hidden feature, open Google Earth and hit Command+Option+A (note it must be capital A) or Ctrl+Alt+A if you’re using a Windows Machine.

Last weekend I finaly signed up for facebook as many others already did. Its quite nice and very easy to publish your photos even when they have the “wrong” size because it all gets resized quickly, the next step is to add descriptions to the photos you like and your finished.
