Sometimes when sitting here managing my websites, browsing the web searching for new cool scripts and tools to check out I get a bad feeling like I’ve explored everything. Like the internet has nothing more to offer, but that’s wrong. Its a lot more out there. I guess its just time for another one of those breaks.
Aquired a new domain

I figured it was time to give Wars4free a 2nd chance. Got a new domain name which was alot better. At least in my opinion. The GamerG8.com is the new domain and now I’m converting from vBulletin to Invisionboard.

Pro Banners

I’m starting to wonder whether I should go for a pro made banner for Librarium Online or not. I have been pretty satisfied with the current banners at LO, but lately the competition between the Warhammer forums have tightened and I feel its time to improve fast. I might go ask Bannaz for help.
Template Update

I updated my template today. Grabbed the header from Thaiairways and edited it slightly in photoshop. Done after 5minutes. Then changed the link colors and the sidebar headers to purple. Also changed the background to grey. I think it looks pretty cool and I like the look of the thai airway women celebrating Loy Krathong in the header 
Autoblogs for blogging networks

A few other sites have started something they call “blogging network” with pretty good success. I would like to try out the same thing, but what kind of autoblogging software should I use ?
Since I’m on Wordpress there are a few I can choose between, but the next question is, paid or free ? I did try two free autobloggers today at this blog and they seemed to work very well both of them.
The first one was the WP-o-Matic which was pretty good. It could upload the pictures to your own server from the source, but it didn’t create the blog author. The 2nd one was the FeedWordpress which did create the author, but didn’t upload the pictures. I’m currently using the FeedWordpress. I liked that one best out of these two free ones.
There are also a few paid autobloggers; WpRobot, Autoblogged, Sitemile. At this point I’m not going to buy any auto-bloggers so the winner this time is FeedWordpress which is free.
The good life

I found this great story when doing some searching about the good life and more. Really a nice little story!
A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. “Not very long,” answered the Mexican. “But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the American. The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

I got from my brother needs a bigger place and I got just the thing for him. A custom made 581 gallons aquarium made of plywood and fibreglass. I got inspired by reading this tutorial by Jon Olav here.
Cities XL

I just started playing a demo of Cities XL after discovering this game on the Steampowered site. A really cool game if your a fan of Sim City. This one is very similar to Sim City in my opinion and the best part is that you can play online with other players and trade with them. I will try the demo for a few days more before I order the full version

Starting the upgrade of the forum at Librarium Online soon. I hope they fixed the bug with invalig urls to the social group from the sidebar. I read in the announcement they should fix more than 200 of bug in this release.

Blog is back

My blog is back. After at least a year I decided to bring back a wordpress blog about stuff on the web and my development of sites. I tried starting alot of sites the last year, but everyone went down the drain after just a few weeks or months. I still have ongoing projects and I hope I one day can succeed with my site #2
Spambots knockin’ on my front door

Lately I’ve had way to many visits of spambots or spamhuman banging on my forum doors, and they get in no matter what I do. Email verification and captcha protection is being used but they still get through. Until I know something else these “spambots” has to be humans.

Google Pagerank Predictors

I wanted to find out the future pagerank of my site librarium-online.com and did a search on google for “pagerank predictor”. Lots of results came up. I know what my current pagerank for my site is because of the google toolbar. Since google is the creator of the toolbar and the pagerank system I trust this toolbar for showing me the correct information.
Im now gonna list a few of the sites that came up and which did not do a satisfactory job by giving me the information I needed.
Librarium Online Mediakit

The last few days I have been making a better mediakit for Librarium Online in order to get more advertisers. Last night I added an adspace chart that shows the total of the site from head to toe, and just a few hours after there was a new ad in the sitewide header space. We have had alot of advertisers at LO before, but this proves that giving them alot of information in a mediakit makes them trust the site.

September 11th memorial truck

Have you heard about the trucker who turned his 18 wheeler into what he calls a Rolling Memorial, a tribute to those who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The trucker’s name is John Holmgren from Shafer, MN . He has been “pulled over” numerous times just so the troopers can get their picture taken with the truck.
Fucking, Austria

About 40km north of Salezburg you will find a little Austrian town called Fucking. The city with zipcode 5121 has around 100 citizens and lies close to the German border.
The village is known to have existed as “Fucking” since at least 1070 and is named after a man from the 6th century called Focko. In 2004, due to the stolen signs and embarrassment over the name, a vote was held on changing the village’s name, but the residents voted against doing so.

Back from Europe

Im back from my trip to Antwerpen in Belgium now. Just arrived in Larvik with the ferry from Frederikshavn in Denmark. I left with the ferry last saturday and arrived in Frederikshavn sunday morning. After checking in my goods at the customs I drove for about 4 hours to Padborg where I waited until 22:00. In Germany you cant drive in the weekends unless you drive some kind of temperature regulated goods. In this case steel plates are not
Around 21:40 I started driving from Padborg to Hambur, then Bremen and down into Holland and I arrived in Antwerpen the next morning around 9:00. I had no more driving hours left and tried to unload the goods at the “Antwerpen hafen”. Their harbour is big, but anyway I went to Abes Quay 347 in Zwarte Weg.
After the unloading I went to Meer to stay until the next morning to pickup some goods at Maxit in Ditteln in Germany.
I will upload some pictures later and also write a little review of what I think about the Sony NVU92 GPS
